Acerca del evento

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Timucua Arts Foundation !

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., we proudly present "Songs from the Hispanic Diaspora" — an intimate musical exploration of exile, displacement, and the dreamlike impermanence of existence through the poetic lens of the Spanish-speaking world.  This powerful concert is a collaboration between the Central Florida Composers Forum (CF2)  , and Open Scene*. Featuring six newly commissioned works, the performance brings to life poetry by pillars of Hispanic literature.

Two esteemed members of our city's art and culture scene, Thamara Bejarano and Charlie Griffin, will be leading the audience through this journey.

Composers: Alex Burtzos Jeremy Umlauf Brandon Martin Rebekah Elizabeth Todia Erik Branch Nate Chivers
