Thanks to a grant from the Florida Department of State, Open Scene presented the dramatic readings of the Special Mentions from the first two editions of the Escena Abierta playwriting contest and the winning play from the third edition, Aquel Mi Terrenito by Guatemalan-American playwright Marco Mancilla. Directed by Rafael Brazarte from Caracas’ Trasnocho Cultural Complex.
Something's Rotten in This Building by Mar Gámez, performed by 10 drama students from Universidad Sagrado Corazón. Special mention of 2021.
La Madre Que No Me Parió (The Mother Who Didn’t Birth Me) by Antonio García del Toro, performed at the A&H Museums of Maitland. Special mention of 2022.
Aquel Mi Terrenito (That Little Plot of Mine), performed at the CVA in Caracas. Winning play of 2023.
