Global Rhythm Experience — Program Overview

Following the resounding success of his stellar participation in FLAE V, Open Scene is proud to present master percussionist Jeickov Vital as the lead facilitator of the Global Rhythm Experience. With more than 20 years of artistic and pedagogical experience, Jeickov brings a powerful blend of tradition, innovation, and stage mastery to every performance. His energy, virtuosity, and commanding presence have taken him to Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Colombia, and, more recently, the United States. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Victor Wooten, Joachim Horsley, Etienne Charles, Sam Reider, and many others. Jeickov’s work bridges cultural heritage and contemporary expression, making him an exceptional guide for this immersive exploration of Afro-diasporic rhythm and ensemble practice.
