About the event

Songs of the Hispanic Diaspora II

Presented by Central Florida Composers Forum, Open Scene & Occo Voxo

📍 Timucua Arts Foundation – August 26, 2025, 7:30 PM

Step into a night of haunting beauty and emotional resonance as Songs of the Hispanic Diaspora II returns to Timucua. This intimate musical evening invites you on a journey through the sounds and silences of exile, migration, and memory—echoes from across the Spanish-speaking world.

Featuring original compositions by Central Florida artists and vocal ensemble Occo Voxo, the program blends poetry, classical forms, and contemporary voices to explore what it means to belong—and to yearn for home. Anchored in the themes of displacement and the ephemeral nature of identity, each piece offers a glimpse into the shared humanity of those who move between worlds.
