About the event

Staged Reading

Two journeys separated by more than a century intersect: that of Asha, a young Iranian film student living in Madrid, and those of journalists Nellie Bly and Elizabeth Bisland, who in 1889 embarked on an extraordinary race around the world in opposite directions.

Through travel, ambition, and displacement, Viajeras explores migration, identity, freedom of movement, and a question that resonates across generations: who has the right to tell the story?

Winner of the 6th edition of the International Playwriting Contest Escena Abierta 2026
