Yerma play adaptation streaming Lorca Open Scene is an innovative digital reinterpretation of Federico García Lorca’s classic play. Produced by Open Scene and directed by Thamara Bejarano, this version was recorded entirely using mobile phones and shared via streaming platforms to reach new global audiences.
Performed by Hispanic actors Giovanna Quezada, Jerald Speare, Guillermo Suárez, Claudia Caicedo, and Ana Cantorán, this adaptation honors the emotional intensity of the original while embracing a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic.
By combining traditional theater with accessible technology, Yerma play adaptation streaming Lorca Open Scene reclaims the power of classic works and makes them resonate with today’s viewers—especially young, Spanish-speaking audiences worldwide.
