Produced by Open Scene and inspired by the Surrealist exquisite-corpse method, Exquisite Corpse combined virtual reality, poetry, visual art, and participatory storytelling at IMMERSE 2021 in Downtown Orlando. More than 300 participants entered the experience and contributed to an evolving collective narrative, adding words and images without knowing the full work created before them. By turning the audience into co-authors, the installation explored chance, collaboration, and the shifting boundary between artist and participant.
