Open Scene launched the first Festival Latinoamericano de Artes Escénicas (FLAE) in June 2021, bringing together more than 80 artists through a hybrid program in Orlando and online. Digital programming included five professional workshops and Spanish-language theater from Mexico, Venezuela, and Orlando, followed by artist conversations. In person, FLAE featured a visual arts exhibition curated by CityArts and performances by Producciones Zona 0, Open Scene, and Ana Cuellar Productions, alongside music, folkloric dance, and the Orlando Gay Chorus. The inaugural edition established the festival as a multidisciplinary platform connecting local audiences with Latin performing artists and companies.
