The Art of Interviewing | Osceola 2025

Project type

Applied Puppetry | Workforce Reentry | Bilingual Workshop

Date

June 2025

Location

Osceola County Corrections Department

Collaboration

Open Scene | University of Central Florida

In June 2025, Open Scene collaborated with the University of Central Florida on The Art of Interviewing, a four-week bilingual puppetry program at the Osceola County Corrections Department. Led by Dr. Tyler Fisher and Leah Basaria, participants built 44 puppets and used role-play to practice job interviews, develop communication skills, and explore future-facing identities for reentry. The resulting puppets later entered a public library exhibition, extending the work from a correctional classroom into the community.
